My dad once said to me, "what do you think life is? A bed of roses?". he took a momentary pause, as if to let the question sink in, then declared "in the saying it may not entirely be, in reality it is not at all. It is a path full of thorns and on either side of that path stand bloodthirsty hound like creatures, who'll pounce at you at the very the first opportunity. An opportunity you give them if you as much as stumble"
I grew up most of my adult life remembering these lines of his, knowing that i cannot stumble even if the thorns make standing impossible, let alone walking, and had always been one step ahead,extra careful, strong, so as to never give such a chance to the "hounds"... life though, as we know it, can be very persuasive. And just to prove that it is,it puts you in places you wish you've never been,which is exactly why I too find myself in that exact situation. Everything I know about beating those "hounds", throwing them off my back, about fighting for what is rightfully mine, about what was never supposed to be taken in the first place, about standing up again after the stumble, on the same thorn laden path is about to be put to test!
What happens next is what remains to be seen, ascertained next ...
